CNC Applications Engineer is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Fanuc controlled CNC machining centers in a precision manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include reviewing new jobs, performing in-process inspections, determining reference points, and modifying existing programs to enhance production efficiency.
Requirements
- 4 Year Degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Industrial, Process is preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience in setting up, programming and operating Fanuc controlled CNC machining centers in a precision manufacturing environment
- Experience with Fanuc Controls, G and M code to develop programs for Mori-Seiki, Haas, OKK, DN Solutions, and Takamaz equipment or similar equipment
- Experience with operating all forms of inspection equipment
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and its application
- Ability to read, interpret and utilize blue prints
- Basic math skills to include four functions, fractions and decimals, as well as ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to work both independently and with teams
