We are looking for a Director, Media +Influencer to lead earned media strategy across traditional and emerging channels. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in earned media, strong understanding of alternative media ecosystems, and a specific interest in technology, the creator economy, and AI & culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of earned media experience in an agency, in house or newsroom setting
- Proven media placements across national, lifestyle, or niche press—plus experience pitching podcasts, newsletters, or creator-journalists
- Strong understanding of alternative media ecosystems: Substack, Reddit, YouTube news, Podcast culture, Fandom, social publishers, etc.
- Curious, adaptive, and fluent in how conversations move across media, creators, and communities
