Alpha Supported Living Services is Washington’s largest nonprofit provider of supported living and group‑home services for adults with intellectual disabilities, serving clients in King, Snohomish, and Spokane counties. Founded in 1974 by parents seeking alternatives to state institutionalization, the organization pioneered community‑based care and expanded through strategic mergers with similar agencies. Alpha’s services focus on individualized support plans, skill development, and fostering independence within residential settings. The agency’s distinctive heritage—rooted in family advocacy and a commitment to person‑centered care—continues to guide its mission of empowering residents to thrive in the community.
Under the supervision of the Crisis Diversion Program Manager, Crisis Diversion Direct Support Professionals are responsible for providing support to program participants. They must be familiar with the Residential Service Guidelines issued by the Developmental Disabilities Administration and seek to act in accord with the principles and values expressed in the guidelines and uphold the agency mission.
