Job Description
AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead technical direction, design and deliver production-grade systems, and leverage AI tools as part of their workflow. The role involves owning technical area, making build-vs-buy decisions, and driving cross-team technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong in Python (primary backend language)
- Comfortable working across languages (shipped production code in at least two)
- Designed and owned production systems serving real users at scale
- Led cross-team technical initiatives without formal authority
- Strong system design instincts
- Deep DevOps and operational experience
- Track record of mentoring engineers and raising team standards
