Job Description
At Alstom, we're looking for a System Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. You'll be responsible for managing technical subjects related to Train design, monitoring system performance, and providing technical inputs to the Maintenance Site organization. You'll work on next-generation high-speed rail transportation projects and enjoy a stable, challenging, and long-term career with opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering related field - system engineering
- Experience in at least one of the following specialized areas within rail, transportation, or related heavy industry: hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electronics/electrical hardware, railway door systems, railway signaling systems, railway HVAC, or railway mechanical systems
- Familiarity with Life Cycle Cost
- Experience working 'hands on' with railway equipment (ideally in the environment of Rolling Stock warranty and reliability growth)
- Knowledge of railway systems
