At Alstom, we are looking for a Train Control Engineer – Bids to lead the development of Train Control and Information Systems (TC&IS) bids. The role involves working closely with teams across the business to deliver tender preparations and ensure the delivery of techno-commercial offers for the Train Control scope of vehicle projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 8-12 years of experience in Train Control design within railway or other safety-critical/industrial domains
- Experience or understanding of Train Control and Information Systems
- Knowledge of software quality assurance and system engineering principles
- Familiarity with electrical schematics and product definitions
- A PMP or equivalent certification is preferred
- Experience with IEC 61375, EN50128, EN50129 standards, TCMS architecture, and solution definition
- Hands-on experience with network and communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, UDP, MVB, Ethernet, CAN, RTP, RTSP, HTTP, VoIP
- Familiarity with real-time, distributed controllers and safety-critical software development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently, lead technical initiatives, and mentor team members
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
