Requirements
- Installation, troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic and Electro-mechanical assemblies/sub-assemblies and systems
- Troubleshoot electronics down to the component level to determine cause and remedy of any malfunction
- Perform required repairs to return unit/system to operational state
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to determine root cause of issue and recommend a corrective action
- Set up and test Systems, sub-systems and units to meet specified requirements
- Recognizes failures and set up problems, isolates problems and takes appropriate action to resolve those problems
- Operate oscilloscopes, generators, meters, power supplies, service monitors and test fixture, and understands their use and function
- Keeps Supervisor informed of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect
- May conduct detailed experimental testing
- Electronic & mechanical assembly
- Install components, units and printed circuit boards following specifications
- Make adjustments or repairs according to written specifications
- Fabricates parts, cables and test fixtures
- Maintain and write work procedures and related documentation for each task performed
