Heavy Equipment Shop Technician

Heavy Equipment Shop Technician position available at Alta Equipment Group in Syracuse, NY. Technician will perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment. Manufacturer technical training programs and employee stock purchase plan provided.

Requirements

• Two years of previous heavy equipment experience
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of engine, power train, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Possess own tools
• Positive attitude and high energy
• Knowledge of Volvo or JCB equipment preferred
• Language Skills: Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively
• Mathematical Skills: Basic: Ability to perform arithmetic operations with units of American money, weight, volume, and distance
• Reasoning Ability: Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems
