The Safety Specialist supports the Regional EHS Managers in fostering a proactive safety culture across operations involving forklifts, heavy machinery, and construction equipment.

Requirements

• Analyze safety performance data related to equipment operation, near-misses, and incidents.
• Maintain and update safety dashboards; identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Generate and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety reports to EHS leadership.
• Conduct regular safety audits of warehouses, yards, and location branches.
• Inspect forklift and heavy equipment operations for compliance with OSHA 1910/1926 standards.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for new hires and existing employees.
• Develop and distribute weekly safety messages focused on equipment operation, PPE, and hazard awareness.
• Monitor and support safe practices in service areas, maintenance bays, and work areas.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Help maintain safety documentation, including equipment inspection logs and training records.
