The Activities Coordinator is responsible for designing and implementing engaging activities for PACE participants, utilizing various techniques such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and community outings. This role involves adhering to PACE program guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree is highly desirable
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a social or recreational program providing and coordinating services for a frail or elderly population (preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location preferred
- Valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines
- Completion of 36 hours of Activity Leader (previously "Activity Director") course, designed specifically for this position and approved by the State of California, is required within 30 days of hire
