Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and validating mechanical systems and components used in Altec's precision machinery for the veneer and plywood industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development (preferably in manufacturing or industrial equipment)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar
- Strong understanding of GD&T, mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
