Sr DevOps IT (space/defense)

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on GitLab CI/CD and AWS services. As a key player in ensuring smooth, automated, and secure delivery of applications, the candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve system reliability and scalability.

Requirements

• Design, develop, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, using GitLab YAML configuration files to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Engineer solutions and manage infrastructure using a wide variety of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS).
• Develop automation scripts using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to reduce manual intervention, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall efficiency.
• Ensure security best practices are integrated into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps), performing vulnerability assessments and adhering to security protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to evangelize high engineering standards and best practices and participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support.
