Senior Back End Engineer, AI Products

Altruist is transforming the wealth management industry with an AI platform for wealth professionals. We're looking for a Senior Back End Engineer to help build the AI engine at the heart of our product, hazel.ai. The successful candidate will design and execute robust systems across data, model, and product layers, and work closely with product managers and subject matter experts to build steerable AI systems.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building ML systems at scale in a production setting
• Experience with ranking or recommender systems, generative AI products, or vector databases, search indices, or other data stores for search and retrieval use cases
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and sound software engineering principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to break down complex problems into simpler constituent parts
