The Controls/Electronics Technician conducts, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. The primary role of the Controls Technician is to provide detailed technical support to their home plant operations team.
Requirements
- AAS in Electrical Technology or Computer Technology or five years of manufacturing experience in controls/automation technology
- Ability to review, correctly interpret and modify PLC's
- Ability to use Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Wonderware software
- Familiar with Beckhoff DATA Acquisition system, and networking between systems
- Experience with multiple brands of (HMI) touch screen applications and programming
- Ability to recognize and understand numbers and values related to job functions
- Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions / judgement calls based on the situation at hand
- Proficient hand / eye coordination to operate equipment and assemble packaging for shipment
- Ability to speak, read, and write English in order to communicate with co-workers and vendors, read work instructions, job procedures and manuals, and document information
- Ability to efficiently and effectively use a computer and related software related to record keeping and machine troubleshooting / maintenance
