Material Handler

Material Handler job description. Responsible for operating forklift, performing lift truck inspections, and adhering to safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Follow all Company policies
• Adhere to Attendance guidelines
• Must be able to work overtime when required
• Responsible for operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times
• Performs Lift Truck Inspection check before using forklift each shift
• Follow all safety guidelines/policies, proper use of equipment, etc.
• Pick orders – (pulling finished product from warehouse to fill orders)
• Stage orders to be loaded
• Loading completed orders
• Understanding of shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, customers’ special instructions
• Warehousing (moving product to maximize usage of warehouse space)
• Perform cycle counts – to verify item quantities on hand
• Moving finished goods from production holding area to the warehouse
• Repackaging damaged materials as needed
• Efficient use of time to maximize pounds/work hours
• Learn how to use the many functions of dc-LINK Data Collection
• Maintains proper housekeeping while performing duties
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed
