The Mold Tech will report to the Shift Supervisor and perform supervisory tasks such as designating Packer / Handlers and other team members to proper locations to meet production schedules.
Requirements
- Set up machines for operation, change material and color to meet production schedules
- Must have a technical understanding of process and raw materials used.
- Keep supervisor/management informed of all problems.
- Start up machines and monitor quality at start up.
- Make appropriate adjustments to machines to maintain efficient production levels and document appropriately.
- Respond to QA Techs by adjusting machines to maintain appropriate sizes and standards.
- Oversee proper packaging procedures
- Review production schedules and ensure machines are running production to meet customer demands
- Respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance to correct machine malfunctions and/or Packer/Handler problems.
- Use proper Lockout/tagout procedures
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Departments concerning machine operations and malfunctions
- Inspect scrap to prevent any usable product from being ground and record scrap numbers
- Be able to do the packer/handler job to assist with relief breaks
- Assist with Material Handling
- Keep the floor stocked with materials required for production (fitments/handles/labels/tape, etc....)
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Responsible for ensuring quality and housekeeping standards are maintained.
