Job Description
We are looking for a Parachute Modeling Engineer to join our team at Intuitive Machines, a teammate company of NASA's largest engineering solutions provider. The selected applicant will work on NASA's Development and Analysis Team and will be responsible for developing a state-of-the-art multi-body parachute system model for use on the Orion and Commercial Crew programs and future programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Experience with 6-DOF and multi-body flight mechanics simulations
- Experience with software development
- Experience developing, verifying, and validating parachute simulation models
- Experience analyzing spacecraft performance
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work in a team environment consisting of NASA civil servants and contractor employees
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
