
Job description
This position supports the Human Lander Systems (HLS) program at NASA as part of the Engine Systems team. The engineer will serve as the Engine Systems Lead and will work both independently at times and in an integrated team performing engine systems and system engineering-related activities to enable the design, test, and operation of the HLS propulsion system.
Primary duties will include supporting the Human Lander program through technical insight, providing reviews and risk assessment and recommendations on NASA-partner engine systems and vehicle propulsion system design and development, and working with the HLS team to identify and resolve engine/vehicle integration issues.
The ideal candidate will have a BS degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, with experience in Systems Engineering processes and applications, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Power-Point, Excel, and Word.
