Inpatient Facility Medical Coder

To independently and efficiently perform medical coding responsibilities, assigning accurate diagnosis and procedures codes to patients' health information records. Maintain quality and productivity standards while working with various coding systems and guidelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in coding with 4+ years inpatient facility coding
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 of the following certifications: Registered Health Information Technician, Coding Specialist, or Registered Health Information Administrator
• Intermediate knowledge of EMR patient documentation system and computer skills
• Advanced knowledge of disease processes, medical terminology, pharmacology, and medical coding principles
