Job Description
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the construction of multiple small to medium size capital investment projects related to various aspects of the business. The position requires strong construction management and communication skills, effective problem-solving, and the ability to manage and influence consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Manage the construction of multiple small to medium size capital investment projects
- Perform varied engineering assignments associated with capital investment construction
- Support project delivery/construction efforts through interpreting and determining asset and operational requirements
- Perform field supervision of construction contractors to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contractual and safety requirements and applicable standards
- Collects accurate GPS field data and prepares detailed as-built drawings
- Complete worksite safety evaluations and correct observed safety deficiencies
- Perform reviews of project designs in the field to verify constructability
- Coordinate with Water Company operations personnel on all construction activities impacting Water Company operations
- Maintain strong relationships and communication with stakeholders impacted by capital construction projects
