Job Description
Senior Construction Inspector job at American Water in West Point, NY. Coordinates, inspects, and assists with the construction of water treatment plants, distribution systems, and wastewater treatment facilities. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in water/wastewater distribution and construction.
Requirements
- Field inspections of construction and maintenance of water distribution system and sewer collection facilities
- Interprets, implements, and enforces contract documents and specifications
- Communicates deficiencies to proper persons
- Works with contractors to schedule utility outages
- Coordinates and approves contractor’s activities
- Reviews contractor’s safety program and enforces compliance with safety regulations
