English Language Learning Coordinator, Los Angeles

The English Language Learning (ELL) Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing a supplemental program to support student achievement and overall well-being. The position will also involve partnering with senior leadership to develop replicable best practices and expanding the program to additional schools.

Requirements

• Establish and maintain a plan of ELL instruction for all students
• Work with students to establish, assess, monitor, and achieve learning goals
• Administer English language proficiency assessments and report results to partner school staff
• Develop a clear system of instructional interventions for students who plateau in language acquisition
• Create a stimulating and respectful learning environment
• Instruct English Language Arts for ELL
• Coach partner school staff in sheltered instruction and best practices
• Deliver professional development to partner school staff and colleagues
• Serve as an advocate for all students and collaborate with partner school staff
