Haydon, Kerk and Pittman is seeking a Quality Engineer to assist in and direct the investigation and resolution of quality-related issues. Responsibilities include responding to design, production, and customer quality issues, resolving production problems, and interfacing with various departments. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field (ME, EE, IE) or equivalent
- 3-5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in reading and understanding various technical documents such as blueprints, material specification sheets, etc.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 standards
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts, problems, and ideas to various levels within the organization
- Broad knowledge in materials and material evaluation
- Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools - DMAIC problem solving, PPAP, DFMEA, DOE, SPC, GR&R, CPk, etc.
- Competency using simple and complex mechanical instruments (e.g. drop gauge, force gauge, calipers, and indicators)
- Working knowledge of common industry specifications, standards, and handbooks
