Rolling Operator

The Rolling Operator will manufacture strip material from ingots, casted strip, or modifying material from stock.

Requirements

• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following 6S principles.
• Operate rolling mills to reduce strip metal to specified thickness and physical properties.
• Position material in rolling mill, adjust rolls and guides according to size and dimensions.
• Train on, support, and operate cladding-related equipment and processes as assigned.
• Perform visual inspection for surface defects.
• Interpret and follow shop work orders.
• Maintain each machine in a'model clean' state.
• Maintain the surface of the machine's Rolls, cleaning/replacing them as necessary.
• Maintain/stage in-process work material in a proper environment preventing contamination and/or damage.
