The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead manufacturing and sustaining engineering efforts for PDT’s production programs, guiding new programs into production, and ensuring continuous improvement of production efficiency, quality, and safety.
Requirements
- Evaluates and optimizes manufacturing processes
- Creates and maintains assembly work instructions, assembly drawings, BOMs, and test procedures
- Supports assembly and testing of product, test procedure and test report documentation
- Troubleshoots issues and non-conformances with product, material, or equipment
- Develops automated test capabilities
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing product yield, planning workflow, and optimizing cost, labor, and material
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge
- Identifies and leads cost-savings, quality improvement, or efficiency improvement projects
- Design new Lean Manufacturing concepts or evaluate, improve, and implement existing concepts and best-in-class manufacturing techniques
- Incorporate engineering specifications into design, process, or techniques and provide feedback to capture lessons learned
