Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our team at HMP Long Lartin, a high-security prison in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing planned and preventative electrical maintenance, fault finding, and ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical systems.

Requirements

• City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation works or equivalent
• BS7671 18th Edition, with upskilling to 18th Edition considered
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
• Good working knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance operations
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
• Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines
• Able to work at heights, to work independently and use initiative
• Understanding of fire alarm and CCTV systems (desirable)
• Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations
• Basic IT skills
