Amey is seeking a Principal Flood Modeller / Engineer to lead a dedicated flood management modelling team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the Flooding and Water Management team in Scotland, providing effective support and assistance to modellers and team leaders on a variety of flood schemes.
Requirements
- Demonstrable high-level experience and expertise within the relevant technical field, probably gained in a Senior Modeller role or equivalent
- Ability to produce or oversee the production of technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements
- Experience in managing project-related tasks associated with health, safety and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
- Chartered status held with an appropriate professional body, with notable post graduate experience in flood risk management projects
- Ability to act as modelling lead or engineering day-to-day main contact for a project where required under the terms of the commission
