We are seeking a Senior Climate Consultant to join our Climate and Air Quality team, with a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and direction of our team, shape and deliver impactful environmental projects, and support in work winning and mentoring apprentices in air quality and climate.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience working in the environmental/climate sector
- Experience preparing climate change risk or adaptation assessments
- A relevant first degree (or equivalent) in science and /or engineering and preferably a relevant second degree (or equivalent)
- Relevant Full Membership or working towards for IAQM and/or IEMA
- Excellent knowledge of UK and European environmental legislation, in particular the Environmental Permitting Regulations, Industrial Emissions Directive and BAT Reference Documents (BRef), together with other relevant legislation and guidance
- A track record of contributing to EIAs and industrial environmental permitting activities
- Experience with climate projections and climate data (e.g., UKCP18 and HadCRUT5)
- Experienced user of GIS and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences, including excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
