We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Senior Systems Engineer (Rail) to join our Systems Engineering, Information Management and Rail Engineering Management practice, within our Consulting Engineering division. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead and support the delivery of whole-system engineering solutions, ensuring effective integration across infrastructure, rolling stock, operations and maintenance.
Requirements
- Developed experience and expertise in the application of systems engineering processes, gained within complex engineering or infrastructure environments
- Demonstrable experience delivering requirements management and V&V on major, multi-disciplinary projects
- Experience within the rail sector or wider infrastructure systems (desirable)
- Experience managing interfaces across infrastructure, rolling stock, operations and maintenance
- Experience using Bentley ComplyPro or IBM DOORS (desirable)
- A proven track record in delivering technically sound engineering solutions in line with relevant standards and client requirements
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects, with knowledge across one or more infrastructure disciplines
- Strong understanding of design processes and procedures
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations, systems safety and CSM-REA (desirable)
- A solid grasp of engineering management practices for delivering multi-disciplinary railway infrastructure projects
- Successful completion of initial professional development leading to Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
- A bachelor's or master's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline, or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused approach
