IS Manager – Software Asset Management (SAM Manager)

Amgen is seeking an experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) leader to manage and mature the operational execution of our enterprise SAM program. This role will lead day-to-day SAM operations, manage two AIN SAM Analysts, and ensure Amgen maintains a compliant, optimized, and audit-ready software licensing posture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's OR Master’s degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience
• 8 to 12 years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, or IT Vendor Management
• Experience managing enterprise software audits (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe, etc.)
• Strong understanding of license models (subscription, SaaS, core-based, user-based)
• Experience leading operational teams
• Financial acumen including forecasting, budgeting, and cost optimization
• Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro or similar SAM tooling
• Experience in regulated or GxP environments preferred
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
