Software Development Engineer II (Full Stack)

Amgen is seeking a motivated Software Development Engineer II to join their Manufacturing Applications Product Team. This is a junior/mid-level role focused on building and enhancing full stack applications that support Manufacturing and Operations use cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering with exposure to full stack development
• Practical experience with React (front-end) and Python FastAPI (back-end) for developing production features
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and willingness to learn cloud-native architectures
• Familiarity with microservices, API development, and distributed systems
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)
