Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Rust) to join our early Backend team. You'll work closely with the team, taking ownership of central components and features, and contribute to various aspects of the company's foundation. The role involves developing systems that handle massive traffic, data, and scaling, as well as participating in brainstorming sessions, feature development, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Production experience with Rust, or strong background in systems-level languages (C++, C, OCaml)
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems in production (Kafka, Redpanda, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, or similar)
- Strong instincts about consumer social products - what makes them work, what makes them fail
