Job Description
Amplitude is seeking a Staff Engineer, FinOps to own the technical backbone that powers cost visibility across major vendors and partner directly with Engineering, Finance, and Product to turn that visibility into real savings and better decisions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in FinOps, SRE, Platform, or Infrastructure engineering
- Experience in reducing spend and improving unit economics in a modern cloud environment (AWS preferred)
- Ability to write production-quality code (Python, TypeScript, or similar)
- Fluency with financial concepts (budgets, forecasts, ROI, unit economics)
- Experience in building cost data systems and modeling cost & usage data
- Ability to communicate complex technical and financial trade-offs to diverse audiences
