Adaptive PE Teacher (Immediate Placement: 2025- 2026 School Year)

The Adaptive PE Teacher position involves providing developmental or corrective instruction in support of students with disabilities to access the general physical education curriculum. The job requires adherence to Amplus Academy's professional standards and Nevada Department of Education licensure standards. The position involves working with students, parents, and staff to provide an appropriate education in the least restrictive environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in special education or similar field
• Adaptive PE endorsement
• Prior school experience (2 years+) preferred
• Certified as a BCBA or BCaBA for a minimum of 2 years preferred
• Current on all required trainings/certifications
• Knowledge of CPR/AED and universal precautions
• Ability to support, mentor, and model best practice instructional strategies specifically designed for students with disabilities
