Secondary (6th-12th Grade) School Counselor

The Secondary (6th-12th Grade) Counselor will help children and young adults with academic, career, and personal/social development, promoting all students' success, especially those who have faced substantial life obstacles. The position will encompass much of the standard areas of Nevada School Counseling Program model, but will go above and beyond, including non-traditional duties.

Requirements

• Master's degree in school counseling, education psychology, or similar field
• Nevada Teaching License with School Counselor Endorsement required
• Prior school counselor experience (2 years+) preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Creative analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Classroom or related software
