The Alma Mater Society (AMS) is the University of British Columbia’s (UBC) student society, and works to improve the academic, social and personal lives of the 56,000 UBC students at its Vancouver campus.
The Alma Mater Society (AMS) is seeking a Peer Support Coordinator to manage and oversee the AMS Peer Support Service, a volunteer-based service providing peer support, resources, and crisis referrals to all registered students at UBC. The Coordinator will develop and facilitate volunteer training, oversee the recruitment and hiring of volunteer teams, and work with external guest speakers and trainers to provide comprehensive training. The role requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills, as well as experience in peer support and supervisory or managerial experience.
