Construction Inspector - Transportation

A Construction Inspector position is available at A. Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. to support projects in the VDOT Salem District and surrounding areas. The job involves overseeing and monitoring the work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Fluent in spoken and written English language
• 0-6 years of highway construction experience
• Working knowledge of Roadway, structure and bridge construction / maintenance / repair / rehabilitation methods, materials, standards and specifications.
• VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications, Road and Bridge Standards, Construction Manual, and Inspector Manual
• Required VDOT Certifications relevant to the work being inspected
• Nuclear Gauge Safety Training
• OSHA 10 Hour Training
