Underwriting Assistant II

We are looking for a Senior Underwriting Assistant to join our Core Renewal Team, responsible for starting the underwriting process, completing endorsements, and handling smaller renewals. The role involves interacting with stakeholders, participating in professional development, and enjoying career growth. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will mentor others, lead projects, and help with training of less experienced employees.

Requirements

• Have the knowledge and skills needed to underwrite Workers' Compensation, Property, General liability, Auto, and Umbrella lines of business.
• 1-2 years of P&C insurance work experience.
• Proven team player and energetic personality.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet productivity deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented with a desire to learn.
• Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner with an appropriate level of detail, empathy, and professionalism.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Effective analytical skills to gather information, analyze facts, and draw conclusions
