Test & Operations Engineer

Andrenam is seeking a Test & Operations Engineer with a hands-on background in mechanical/electrical systems, field testing, and ocean technology deployment. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of bringing our maritime sensing platform to life—assembling, deploying, and validating distributed sensor nodes in challenging real-world ocean environments.

Requirements

• Prepare, deploy, recover, and maintain sensing nodes in open-ocean and coastal environments.
• Conduct pre-deployment checks, troubleshoot hardware issues (electrical or mechanical), and ensure system readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to report field findings, inform product design, and validate performance.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, configurations, and results.
• Assist in the development of deployment tooling, jigs, and handling procedures for at-sea operations.
• Operate test equipment such as multimeters, pressure testers, and underwater connectors/housings.
• Support rapid prototyping and iterative testing cycles to accelerate field-readiness.
