Senior Mechanical Engineer

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Imaging team, focusing on designing and developing advanced complex electro-mechanical and structural systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering (BSME), or MS with 8 plus years of experience in design, hardware, or integrated product development and testing
• Experience in an immersive interdisciplinary technical project
• Proficiency in various CAD tools and openness to using new software
• Strong skills in material selection, component sizing, system design, and troubleshooting
• Understanding of thermal and structural analysis
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills
• Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills
• Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors, etc.)
• Experience with machining and fabrication processes, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing
• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ASME Y14.5 GD&T) and regulatory requirements
• Ability to drive projects from concept to completion
• Excellent written and verbal skills for documentation, presentations, and collaboration
