Staff Robotics Engineer

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Robotics Engineer to lead the delivery of vehicle perception and planning capabilities for their autonomous platforms. The role involves system analysis, sensor selection and integration, architecture and implementation, and testing. The ideal candidate will possess end-to-end ownership of the design, development, and evolution of safe and effective autonomous systems in the maritime domain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python software development
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors (radar, sonar, LIDAR, cameras)
• Demonstrated knowledge of at least one of: computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, machine learning
• Experience in a senior perception or planning role for the delivery of a robotic system
• Ability to act as the technical owner for a system including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team co-ordination, design, implementation, sustainment and evolution
• Capacity to learn and grow individually, while mentoring junior team members effectively
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting 2 security clearance (NV2)
