Job Description
The Principal, Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical systems across AngloGold Ashanti’s mining and processing operations in North America. This includes power infrastructure, substations, process plant systems, and surface and underground electrical networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or eligibility
- MSHA Electrical Training Certificate (preferred)
- Minimum 6–8 years of electrical engineering experience
- Experience in both greenfield and brownfield project environments
- Proven experience with power distribution systems (HV/MV/LV), substation design, and process control systems
