Shelter Medicine Veterinary Externship Program

The Shelter Medicine Veterinary Externship Program gives students hands-on experience in a shelter medicine setting, working closely with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff. Students will gain experience in population health management and participate in advanced medical procedures and surgical techniques.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an Accredited Veterinary Technology Program.
• Must have a sincere interest in the vision, mission and culture of Animal Friends.
