Job Description
The Print Estimator will collaborate with Sales, Planners, and customers to create cost-effective estimates for printing jobs, using analytical and problem-solving skills. They will also work with abstract designs and create rough production plans, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to quality, safety, and security standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Technical School training desired
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3 years experience preferred
- Print Estimating and/or Job planning experience preferred
- Knowledge of color, paper, and print-flow operations highly recommended
- Knowledge of operations from layout to post press including finishing and mail is preferred
- Familiar with Print MIS systems desired, EFI Monarch or PSI
- Solid working knowledge of printing/finishing processes, paper, ink, computer operations as well as the competitive market and purchasing
