The Finance Intern will join the Finance & Strategy function at a Series B-stage advanced battery manufacturing startup and work on high-impact projects spanning financial modeling, manufacturing economics, capital planning, systems automation, and strategic decision support.
Requirements
- Build and refine financial models supporting manufacturing unit economics, capacity expansion and capex planning, long-range operating and cash flow forecasts
- Partner with the Head of Finance to design and implement AI-first finance workflows
- Support post-Series B financial execution, including budgeting and cash burn management, investor and board reporting materials, KPI definition and dashboard development
- Analyze data across engineering, operations, and supply chain to translate technical realities into financial insights
- Assist in evaluating strategic initiatives such as new manufacturing lines or facilities, make vs. buy decisions, supplier negotiations and cost-down roadmaps
- Help select, implement, and integrate finance systems (ERP, FP&A tools, data stack) appropriate for a scaling manufacturing company
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support executive decision-making in a fast-moving environment
