Staff Electrolyte Scientist

Anthro Energy is seeking a Staff Electrolyte Scientist to lead electrolyte innovation for advanced cell chemistries, including high-Ni, high-voltage NCM, and silicon-dominant anodes. The role involves defining electrolyte strategy, solving critical interfacial challenges, and translating novel formulations into commercially viable battery systems.

Requirements

• PhD (5+ years) or MS (10+ years) in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Demonstrated success developing electrolytes for high-Ni cathodes, high-voltage systems and/or silicon-based anodes
• Deep expertise in electrolyte formulation design, including salt systems, solvent systems, and advanced additive engineering
• Proven ability to connect interfacial chemistry to cell performance, including diagnosing and resolving degradation mechanisms
• Strong hands-on experience with electrochemical testing and advanced characterization techniques
• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
• Deep data analysis capability, with a proven ability to interpret complex datasets and drive clear, data-informed technical decisions
