Job description
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and using supplier management activities and procedures to improve supplier performance. This position drives incoming quality by evaluating new and existing suppliers, resolving supplier issues, and working with suppliers to develop and improve the supply chain.
Supervise and coordinate work of Receiving Inspectors, generate and maintain incoming inspection procedures, utilize statistical tools to analyze supplier defects, and conduct root cause analysis of supplier defects.
This position requires a strong working knowledge of quality processes, procedures, and tools, as well as leadership and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with manufacturing, quality, and technical expertise, and be able to evaluate and develop quality initiatives.
