Supplier Quality Engineer

Owens & Minor is a global healthcare solutions company seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to investigate, analyze, and resolve supplier quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• 4-year BS Engineering Degree preferred but will consider experience in lieu of degree
• 5 to 10 years' experience manufacturing and / Quality experience a strong plus
• Proficient in Microsoft
• Knowledge of QSR's, ISO 13485, GMP, and FDA regulations
• Experience with FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, SPC, and related statistical tools
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production equipment
• Ability to write technical documents
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A working knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques
• Requires attention to detail and ability to execute to deadlines on multiple projects
• 6-Sigma and/or Lean experience preferred (trained or certified)
• Working knowledge of SAP and or Oracle ERP platforms preferred but not required
