Trade Compliance Analyst

A.O. Smith is a global leader in water heating equipment and boilers. We are seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to work with internal warehouse staff, international suppliers, and customers to ensure timely and efficient movement of international freight, while following all applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will analyze shipment documentation, negotiate with carriers, and maintain a high degree of trade compliance.

Requirements

• Provide import/export support to end-users
• Track shipments and documents throughout the shipment lifecycle
• Understand Customs procedures and work with appointed agents and Customs Brokers
• Keep meticulous records in order to meet record keeping requirements
• Conduct audits of import and export documentation and procedures
• Conduct restricted party screenings of business partners and end users
• Assist in conducting HTS classification determinations
• Assist in analyzing the eligibility of goods for various Free Trade Agreements
• Compile, organize and analyze basic information for inclusion in reports
• Perform other related support duties as requested
