Job Description
Join a leading renewable energy developer as a Commissioning Engineer for a 12-month contract to oversee utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) commissioning activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience in commissioning, startup, and testing of utility-scale power generation, transmission, or industrial electrical systems.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of medium/high-voltage electrical systems, protection relays, SCADA/controls, inverters, and utility interconnection processes.
- Proven track record of enforcing rigorous safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E) in a field construction/industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience supervising contractors or technicians in the field.
- Proficient with commissioning documentation, test reports, and project tracking tools.
